In 2022, a provincial climate change risk assessment was conducted by the Department of Environment and Climate Change.

Climate change adaptation is taking action to reduce the risks from climate change. It is an intentional process by which humans, communities and regions prepare for and respknse to changes in their environment in order to mitigate change.

Climate risk is the interaction between: likelihood of climate hazard, exposure to the hazard and vulnerability.
